Veteran Stories: Zenon

Zenon Kelly served over 23 years in the United States Army. With different positions such as Operations Manager, Director of Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Manager, he retired in June 2024 as a First Sergeant. Before retirement, Kelly had an internship with AllegiantVets where he worked directly with the University of Minnesota.

He met with Fusion Cell after seeing a Director of Operations role with one of the longest-serving American Veterans organizations. Talent Services Manager Seneca Newkirk worked directly with him; Zenon got an offer letter within 2 weeks. He now plays a critical role in ensuring efficiencies and implementing strategies by overseeing the day-to-day operations.

About his experience working with Fusion Cell: “I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Fusion Cell, and especially Seneca Newkirk, for their incredible support in my career transition. As a 23-year veteran of the United States Army, stepping into the role of Director of Operations was a significant milestone for me. Seneca’s dedication, expertise, and unwavering support made all the difference in this journey. His understanding of the unique challenges faced by veterans transitioning to civilian roles, coupled with his exceptional guidance, ensured a smooth and successful transition for me. Fusion Cell’s commitment to helping veterans is evident in every interaction. Their holistic approach, combining professional development with personalized support, has been instrumental in my success. I am profoundly grateful for their assistance and highly recommend Fusion Cell to any veteran seeking new opportunities.”
